Assignment#13

I think that the British soldiers (Canada) has won the war, because if the Americans won the war then we would be considered American. since we are still called Canadians we have won the war of 1812. Also we have one more battles than they have. The American soldiers have one some battles against Canada but we have won more battles on land or on water. they is not always a winner in war because the war can go on for like a month and the captain might call a truss with the other country so no one has won the war it was a tie.

Waseem: Hello ladies and gentlemen welcome to my show today I will be hosting Louis Riel on the Waseem Omar show!

Louis Riel: Hey Waseem I all ways wanted to be on your show.

Waseem: What an Honour. Please Louis tell us your life story.

Louis Riel: It all started when i was born in 22 October 1844 and i live don a farmstead in Winnipeg, and it ended when I was branded a traitor and hanged to death but in theses 41 years I discovered many things. in 1869 i was leader of the Metis people and the territory of Red River and I was getting frustrated with the lack of action from Canada so I established apprehend government void which means to become ware of the power of governing which is empty.

Waseem:What an interesting adventure!

Louis Riel: what i am not finished my story please let me finish!

Waseem:sorry for interrupting your wonderful story please continue.

Louis Riel: Thank you now i shall continue my story.

Louis Riel: At the time when i took leadership of the settlers to protect there goods and materials.I played a very secondary role in the events that were taking place in Ottawa. I was devoted above all to the affairs of the Red River Settlement. After many attempts to vindicate what the federal government, according to me, owed the First Nations and Metis, I, convinced that many hundreds of men in the North West Mounted Police were advancing towards them.

Waseem: hope there is more!!!

Louis Riel:There is trust me!

Waseem: good continue.

Louis Riel: Well what i have done has angered many people and the Indian and Metis resistance could not survive against the strength of the Canadian militia. On May 12, 1885, the rebellion ended. I gave myself up to the North West Mounted Police. Accused of treason, I was trialed in Regina where I was found guilty and sentenced to death.

waseem: what nice story but this all we have for today thank you again for coming on the waseem show one again give a hand to louis riel.

Assignment #6

The person i will be talking about is Harriet Tubman. Well Harriet Tubman was a humanitarian. Harriet Tubman was the one who started the Underground Railroad. She started it so she can help everyone escape and so she can escape from slavery and she got other slaves to help her make the underground railroad. Also one of the good things that she did was that she did not lose anybody when she was coming to Canada. Next Harriet Tubman made thirteen trips back and forth to take the slaves to Canada. When she was young and in slavery she was beaten and battered and bruised and she suffered a traumatic head wound but in the end she was a hero and saved many people while saving her life. Also Harriet escaped to Philadelphia and when she got there she knew it was wrong leaving the others behind so she went back to Maryland and she saved the people.

Assignment #5

When the first settlers first arrived to Canada, on there way to Canada, lots of people died. There was very good medicine, they wanted to stay and claim this land for themselves. The decided to stay in this land because of all the beaver fur, wealth, more land, and fish. The Summer in Canada was really nice, but they never knew how cold it was, they had to get cloth and wool to keep warm. They had wood to make fire and houses. They hunted the animanls for the fur for clothing. This is why they decided to stay in Canada. Here are some of the places I searched.

Assignment 3

Well in 100 years I think a lot will change like we will have more people in the world and there will be less war becuase we will get new technolgy to stop the wars. Plus the world will change like there will be no more discremanation becuase Obama is president now so there won't be that much but in 100 years they will stop for sure. Also people will maybe live on the moon. Next maybe we will be able to get to the next planet like Jupuiter and Mars. Lastly in 100 years lots of things will change and we will never forget it.
